Ed is silly. He always has something funny to say. Sometimes he says something smart. In "Dueling Eds",here's what he said about Double D:

"He wears that hat all the time and always talks about stuff."

Some of Eds more silly things to say are:

"I wish I had a turtle shell."

"I was a moose once."

"I say the cheese is always twice the fence post!"

"Eddy is my ideal pal,soft and cuddly like mashed potatoes.YUM!"

"Ohhhhhhh,it's so gross! Can I touch it?"

"I wish I had four stomachs."

He is a good friend and Edd and Eddy usually try to get him out of a fix with Sarah,his spoiled little sister. Jimmy just watches in horror.

Edd(Double D)

Edd isn't very good at athletics but he makes up for that with his smartness. He loves cleanliness and worries that something will get dirty or he will get dirt on himself. He doesn't really like to participate in Eddy's scams but goes along with Ed and Eddy anyway. He makes inventions that always backfire in some sort of way. He always tries to teach Eddy manners,appropriate grammar and all sorts of things only a whiz would know. There is one mystery about Edd that every fan of his wonders. WHAT IS UNDER THAT HAT! We've over-lapped his hat on screen captures with the 'Paint' program to show what he may be hiding but we still don't know for certain. Only the creator knows and he's not telling. Will we ever learn what IS under Double D's hat. No one knows. But we have seen him pull his hat off. But sadly,the time when his hat is off is over-lapped by Ed and Eddy as Eddy bursts out, "Geez Louise". Maybe later on we will have this mystery solved. Until then we can just imagine......

Eddy

Eddy is the main scammer of the trio. Nothing makes his eyes shine more brighter than looking at a few quarters. Well,except for jawbreakers. Those too. He tries to make up businesses such as one he made up in the episode where all the kids were sick,the tennis balls painted to look like ice-cream. Though he tries and tries,when he gets money,it usually goes back to the kid who gave it,or else,like in "Urban Ed",thrown from a very tall building made out of boxes and the kids grab for it. When they do succeed and get jawbreakers,they usually get accidently spit out of their mouth and they go chasing them down the sidewalk into the sunset.
